Hidden – Aparthotel

Creating a discovery-led hospitality brand built around curiosity, wellbeing and local experiences.

The Challenge

Hidden began with a simple ambition, to create a scalable aparthotel brand that could grow across multiple locations while remaining deeply connected to the places it inhabits.

The concept needed to appeal to modern travellers seeking more than just accommodation. Guests were looking for authentic experiences, meaningful downtime, thoughtful design and a stronger connection to their surroundings. The challenge was to create a brand that could unite a portfolio of diverse destinations under one identity, while allowing each location to retain its own unique character.

The Strategy

Through a series of workshops and market research sessions, several themes consistently emerged:

  • Discovery over consumption
  • Wellness redefined
  • Digital detox and disconnection
  • Authentic local experiences
  • Community and connection
  • Simplicity and ease

Rather than positioning Hidden as another hotel brand, we developed it as a platform for exploration. A brand built around uncovering hidden gems, local stories and meaningful experiences.

This thinking led to the creation of the brand proposition:

Hidden doesn’t find you. You find Hidden.

A line that perfectly captured the spirit of curiosity, reward and discovery at the heart of the guest experience.

The Name

The name Hidden was selected for its ability to communicate both place and mindset.

It speaks to hidden locations, hidden experiences and hidden moments of calm. It reflects the joy of finding something unexpected and the belief that the most memorable experiences are often those discovered rather than advertised.

The name also supports the wider guest journey, encouraging travellers to look beyond the obvious and engage more deeply with the places they visit.

Bringing Discovery to Life

The circle became a central part of the guest experience.

In digital environments it moves across imagery, revealing hidden moments and encouraging exploration. Within physical spaces it inspired wayfinding concepts, including stone signage featuring circular apertures that allow visitors to frame and discover the landscape around them.

Print applications embraced tactility through embossing, foiling and cut-through elements, creating layers of intrigue and encouraging interaction.

Every touchpoint was designed to reward curiosity.

A Brand Shaped by Place

While Hidden operates under a single master brand, each location is given its own character through carefully curated colour palettes inspired by local landscapes, materials and culture.

Working closely with interior designers, we developed a flexible system where colours, imagery and experiences evolve naturally from the environment itself.

This allows every Hidden location to feel unique while remaining connected to the wider brand.

The Outcome

The result is a hospitality brand that balances consistency with individuality.

A brand built on simplicity, discovery and meaningful experiences.

One that doesn’t shout for attention, but rewards those willing to look a little closer.

A place to switch off, slow down and uncover something unexpected.

Hidden doesn’t find you. You find Hidden.

“SicoCreative brought a unique perspective to the development of the Hidden brand, helping us articulate what genuinely differentiated us and establish a clearer brand position and identity. His contribution helped shape a modern interpretation of hospitality in a crowded market, which hopefully won’t stay hidden.”
